What is a designer dog breed? In the dog breeding world there has been a “CLASS“ System that has historically been divided into pure breeds and “Mixed” breeds. The “BLUE BLOODS” or dogs of pedigree, are considered upper class. While dogs of mixed breeds, mutts, or mongrels were considered a “COMMON” class. A“Designer” dog breed is a combination of the best of both worlds. Registered pure breed dogs are “mixed” on purpose to create a ”DESIGNER” breed. Intentionally mixing of breeds means that we take one breed and breed it to another and by doing this we are ensuring a much healthier ”BEST“ of both worlds pup. Pure Breed Dogs are considered frail and have quite a lot of health problems due to being inbred for so many generations. By mixing the different breeds (sometimes a dog may have more than two pure breeds in his bloodline, but unlike a mutt, his lineage can be identified) we can cut out most of the genetic health problems that come with pure breed dogs. We have found throughout the years that Designer dog breeds tend to be a much healthier option which saves on vet bills and medications in the long run. Our dogs are all AKC/CKC Registered so that we can trace their lineage and our Breeding Pairs are all Health Tested to be sure they will bring out the best of their breed. Our Dogs are carefully selected to ensure they have great temperaments that will pass on to their puppies. Parents are the best teachers after all. We have perfected this process enough throughout the years to allow us to produce consistent coloring as well as size. Designer Pomeranians is a small In home dog breeder that specializes in Designer Pomeranian breeds. Our dogs are allowed to free roam on our small ranch in Northern Utah, and by doing this it allows them to explore and discover new things. We believe that this makes for Confident and Happy dogs, which in turn gives us much more confident and happy pups that are ready to take on the world. We have been breeding dogs for over 13 years and have loved every minute of it. We Love sharing our passion with everyone, It brings us so much happiness to see each and every family receive their new puppy.
The answer is yes! This breed is a heavy shedding breed you can expect them to shed the most in the spring and in the fall. Daily brushing as well as frequent baths will help cut down on this.
Poms have lovely, thick double coats but They do not need to be trimmed or stripped. They do need regular brushing to prevent any mats and tangles from forming. Groomers have taken to giving teddy bear cuts to Poms and it has become quite popular In looks as well as cutting back on grooming. Poms enjoy getting groomed because they love the extra attention they get from their human.
Poms make wonderful watchdogs because they are always alert. This means they are known to be ”Barkers” However if you gently curb this when they are young and before it becomes a real problem you can prevent this behavior. Poms are so smart that with a little patience you can teach them not to bark for no reason.
Pomeranians when well socialized and nicely handled from a young age do not grow up to be aggressive. We believe that there are no bad dogs just bad dog owners. An aggressive little dog is a dog that was not socialized well as a puppy. But a good dog breeder will make sure your puppy is off to a great start with early exposure to as many things as his age can handle. This is why we make sure our puppies have as much exposure to as many things as possible.
Poms thrive on human company and hate it when they are left on their own for too long. Like any dog they should not be left unattended for very long periods of time to prevent the development of bad habits.
Poms are extremely intelligent and learn new things quickly. In the right environment and with correct handling your Pom will be easily trained. Poms must be taught their place in the household to prevent the mind set that they are the pack leader. Make sure you establish that you are the ”Alpha” in your home.
A PomaPoo is a Designer dog breed that is a cross between a Pomeranian and a Poodle. This is considered a very adorable mix with one of the best personalities.
PomaPoo’s are very good family dogs and elderly companions. Due to their little size they do not need much exercise. And love to lounge around on the couch. They are great kid dogs and love everyone around them.
PomaPoo‘s are a mix between a “Toy“ Pomeranian and a “Toy“ Poodle, both are considered very small breeds which means a PomaPoo will usually weigh between 5-8 Pounds.
PomaPoo’s are considered hypoallergenic due to being a cross with a poodle. Although this dramatically cuts back on shedding most PomaPoo’s do shed unless they are a second or third generation PomaPoo.
PomaPoo’s are very intelligent, being a cross with two of the most intelligent small breeds they are excellent at learning. They wish to please everyone around them and this makes them highly trainable.
A PomaPoo’s lifespan is anywhere from 12-16 years. They are a mix between two very healthy dog breeds and inherited a long lifespan.
Pomklee’s vary in sizes. You can get a Standard, Medium, or a Toy size. It depends on the breeder and the generations they are producing. We have taken great care in selecting our sizes and generations to specifically produce the “Toy” size. A ”Toy” size is considered anything up to nine pounds and no taller than 13 inches.
Yes, they are good family and companion dogs. An Alaskan Klee Kai is a very loving sweet dog. They are great kid and family dogs, they are highly intelligent and will easily learn anything you want to teach them. This is why we have decided to add PomKlee’s to our breeding program. The Keen Intelligence, Loyalty and Love that an Alaskan Klee Kai has, mixed with a Pomeranian who also has all of these qualities is guaranteed to be one of the most loyal and sweet fluffy dog’s you will ever meet. They are what we believe to be one of the best designer dog breeds.
Pomklee’s are very Intelligent, they are capable of learning just about anything you would like them too. They are very food driven and love to go above and beyond to please their owner. The Pomklee is a much more laid back breed than the Designer Pomsky breed because the Alaskan Klee Kai was originally bred to be a smaller less active companion dog than its larger counterpart the Alaskan and Siberian Husky, which were bred to be working dogs and are much too active for most families.
A Pomklee is a new “Designer” Dog that is a mix between an Alaskan Klee Kai and a Pomeranian. The Alaskan Klee Kai descend‘s from the Alaskan Husky, Siberian Husky, and American Eskimo’s. Using Alaskan Klee Kai’s in our breeding program allow us to produce a more consistent size in our dogs. This is why we can produce the ”Toy” size specifically. The Alaskan Klee Kai having been bred down for size and temperament for much longer than the Pomsky crosses allow us to produce a much more consistent size and temperament than its counterpart the Pomsky.
Pomklee’s have a much longer life span than most pure breed dogs. Because The Alaskan Klee Kai is considered one of the most healthy dog breeds, and live to be anywhere from 12-16 years. As do the relatively healthy Pomeranians who have an average lifespan of 12-16 years. A Pomklee would be considered a very healthy breed and will have around the same life span of 12-16 years.
Pomklee’s are considered a medium energy dog. An Alaskan Klee Kai is what would be considered a high energy little dog but combined with the more laid back Pomeranian who is more content to spend its days with its owner make a pomklee much less high energy than an Alaskan Klee Kai. A short walk or a quick play session should be plenty for your Little teddy bear ball of cuteness.
An Alaskan Klee Kai is a miniature Husky dog breed. They were created by a Linda Spurlin In the late 1970’s. She Used Alaskan Huskies, Siberian Huskies, American Eskimo‘s and other small Spitz dog breeds to create these beautiful dogs. They are considered a rare breed and there are still very few breeders. They come in 3 different sizes: Standard, Mini, and Toy. The AKC does not recognize these dogs yet but they are recognized by UKC, and the American rare breed association.
Alaskan Klee Kai’s are very intelligent dogs, being descended from the Alaskan and Siberian Huskies who were bred to help pull sleds in winter climates makes them very keen and intelligent dogs. Alaskan Klee Kai‘s however were bred to be a smaller companion LAP dog compared to their larger counterparts and therefore gives them many different Temperament traits than that of the larger Husky breed. They are much more loving and much less high maintenance than the husky or pomsky breeds. They are very loyal and become quite attached to their owners.
The average weight and height of a Standard size Alaskan Klee Kai is 16-22 pounds, and 15-17 in tall. The average weight and height of a miniature is 10-15 pounds and 13-15 in tall. The average weight and Height of a Toy is 9 pounds and up to 13 inches tall.
Average life span of an Alaskan Klee Kai is anywhere from 12-16 years
They come in 4 main colors: Black and white, Red and White, Gray and White, and Pure White. They can also have pure Blue eyes, Piebald Eyes, Brown eyes, one blue and one brown.
